The sight of his young son juggling numerous prescriptions was heart-wrenching. Frank knew there had to be a better way.
His quest for a solution led him to the miraculous properties of raw honey. Embracing the role of a beekeeper, Frank introduced honey into Matthew’s diet. The transformation was nothing short of a miracle. Within weeks, Matthew’s condition improved significantly, and he was able to stop all medications, save for an inhaler. well-controlled.
However, Matthew’s battle with asthma persisted. The villain? The perfumes in soaps, lotions, and shampoos. Frank, ever the innovator, turned to aromatherapy. He mastered the art of essential oils and began crafting homemade soaps for his family. The result? Matthew’s asthma was finally under control.
Fast forward to 2003, Crystal, Frank’s partner, discovered she had severe allergies to MSG, acids, alcohol, and mineral oils. The fragrances in commercial body care products were causing her skin to rash, crack, and bleed. Desperate for relief, she turned to Frank’s handmade soaps. The rashes vanished.
However, Crystal still struggled with hand and scalp issues that neither she nor her doctor could resolve. Even organic products failed her, as they contained the acids that irritated her skin. Traditional remedies, like soaking her hands in Vaseline overnight, proved futile.
Frank, ever the problem-solver, expanded his repertoire to include lotions and hair care formulas. He began experimenting with cocoa butter cream, hand and body lotion, and shampoo. Crystal, his willing guinea pig, found immediate relief. Within a week, her hair and scalp had improved; two weeks of using the lotion, and her hands were beautifully healed.
Through trial and error, Frank and Crystal discovered the secret to their success: simplicity. Their mantra, K.I.S.S., or Keep It Simple Silly, guided them to stick to all-natural ingredients like raw honey and pure essential oils. And thus, Honey Kissed Skincare was born, a testament to their journey of love, innovation, and the power of nature.
As Frank’s homemade skincare products began to work wonders, their circle of friends took notice. Those brave enough to try these new concoctions were pleasantly surprised and started requesting more. They urged Frank to sell his soaps, lotions, and shampoos. After finding the right suppliers for their key ingredients, Honey Kissed Skincare came to life.
Frank and Crystal believed that a skincare company should be a balanced representation of its customers. They embraced the idea of “skincare equality,” understanding that women know women’s needs, and men understand men’s. Crystal officially joined the company, becoming the voice of their remarkable journey.
In 2013, their adventure took an exciting turn. The Honey Cottage, their new home, became the heart of their operations. They were not only revamping their skincare line but also diving deeper into their passion – honey. They committed themselves to provide their customers with the purest form of honey – raw, unpasteurized, unfiltered, and straight from the hive.
But their mission didn’t stop there. They became educators, ready to share their knowledge about honey and its myriad uses. They taught their customers that honey is more than just a sweet treat; it’s a lifestyle. They debunked the myth that honey comes from a bear-shaped bottle at the grocery store, emphasizing that real honey comes from dedicated beekeepers.
At The Honey Cottage, Frank and Crystal introduced a unique experience – honey taste testing before purchase. They believed that customers should get exactly what they want and need. They took pride in their close relationships with beekeepers, learning about their practices to ensure they could inform customers about the origins of their honey.
